Trump Loves his COVID Shot

Kennedy and MAGA Loyalists Roast Trump for Bragging Blindly about the COVID-19 Vaccine Program during Biden’s SOTU

During President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address last week, Donald Trump bragged about Operation Warp Speed (the aggressive $14 billion mRNA vaccine roll-out managed by the Pentagon) in a Truth Social post.

Then he got roasted for it. Trump’s post was screen grabbed, posted, and reposted widely on X (formerly Twitter) where it was greeted with an extraordinary outburst of derision and disbelief, even by some MAGA loyalists.

For many who are skeptical of, or point out the harms from, mRNA and other vaccines, Trump’s COVID-19 policies and praise of the vaccine represent his Achilles heel – a clear point of weakness that presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his supporters are keen to point out and hope to raise during the debates.

On Friday, Kennedy commented on Trump’s post by citing a CDC-funded study that documented the grave harm caused by the mRNA vaccines and said he looked forward to debating Trump and Biden on the subject:

Donald Trump clearly hasn’t learned from his Covid era mistakes. He fails to recognize how ineffective his warp speed vaccine is as the ninth shot is being recommended to seniors. Even more troubling is the documented harm being caused by the shot to so many innocent children and adults who are suffering myocarditis, pericarditis and brain inflammation.

This has been confirmed by a CDC funded study of 99 million people. Instead of bragging about its speedy approval, we should be honestly and transparently debating the abundant evidence that this vaccine may have caused more harm than good. In fact, I look forward to debating both Trump and Biden on September 16th in San Marcos, TX.

Del Bigtree, Kennedy’s Communications Director, also posted with the hashtag “#BobbyHasReceipts.” This message is perhaps a reference to what Kennedy witnessed as an insider, rather than a presidential candidate, in 2016, as he related last year to Dave Rubin of the Rubin Report – a real-life Pfizer/Trump ‘swamp creature’ story:

Trump came in and he promised to drain the swamp.

He named me as head of the Vaccine Safety Commission, and I started that function. I met with [CDC Director, Dr. Francis] Collins. I met with Fauci and was putting together that project. And then when that news got out, Pfizer gave a million dollar contribution to Trump and Trump [then] appointed two of Pfizer’s hand-picked candidates, Alex Azar to run HHS and [Dr.] Scott Gottlieb who was a partner of Pfizers to run the FDA.

Gottlieb got in there and did an $88 billion gift for Operation Warp Speed for Pfizer and then [afterwards] left to join Pfizer’s Board and collect his payoff. So, that is the swamp.”

Another supporter and frequent X SPACES host Holden Culotta commented, “If you’re voting for Covid accountability in 2024, Trump is not your guy.”

Ben Swan of Sovren Media posted:

This is the absolute WORST thing Trump could possibly do at this point. Somebody needs to wake him up! This means @RobertKennedyJr is the only candidate who will stand against Big Pharma and medical tyranny. @realDonaldTrump

Paul Alexander, an advisor to Tulsi Gabbard, recently commented on this subject: “[Trump’s] movement will never be called to galvanize and hold Big Pharma accountable because Trump says, ‘Operation Warp Speed was one of his greatest accomplishments,’ and we cannot threaten Trump’s fragile ego.”

Podcast host and addiction medicine specialist Dr. Drew said, “Trump has an opportunity to apologize too. He could say I was very proud of Operation Warp Speed… I didn’t foresee what they would do with the vaccines once this virus became a cold… Also he was a big advocate for lockdowns. He should apologize for that.”

News of the tweet trickled to Newsweek as well, which reported a response from Rumble Personality Ryan Matta, who posted:

@realDonaldTrump will be wearing @pfizer hat at his next rally! WTF is wrong with this man? Who the F*** would say this s***! We all have friends, family and children we know who were murdered by these vaccines! Y’all need to have a come to Jesus moment with this man REAL QUICK! GOSH DAMN THIS MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL and I’d take a bullet for Trump!

Trump has long taken credit for the militarized Operation Warp Speed. In May 2021, The Hill reported that former President Trump claimed credit for the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, calling it “one of the greatest miracles of the ages.”

The authors of the recent scientific study cited by Kennedy in his X post would take issue with the assessment as would all the people the study suggests have been harmed by the mRNA vaccine.

While Trump was being smoked for his social media commentary during President Biden’s State of the Union (SOTU) address, Kennedy’s own SOTU posted across numerous social networks was gaining a lot of attention and praise. A week later, the 9-minute video had been watched by over 30 million people, roughly equal to Biden’s SOTU viewership last Thursday.

The outrage stirred by Trump’s bravado over the roll-out of the experimental mRNA vaccines from both Kennedy and MAGA camps and the media coverage suggests this will be an issue of contention over the coming months leading up to election day.
